Over 80% of Africa’s independent safari lodges, hotels and vacation rentals do not have online digital booking systems thus locking them out of global sales system. In an era where intimately knowing your end-consumer is paramount, the need to empower safari lodges with easy, cost-effective systems to ramp up their online direct bookings and make more revenue is critical.
Founded in Nairobi, Kenya, Zafari is the brainchild of Purple Elephant Ventures, the world's first tourism-focused venture studio. Bolstered by the rise in travel and tourism numbers in an industry that was awakening from the slump of Covid19, Zafari set out to build integrated online booking technology that would challenge the limits of conventional global hotel management software.
Where we are going.
We are moving beyond online booking front-ends, central reservation and guest management systems. We aim to re-imagine and redefine the relationship between the modern, ever-digital guest, Africa’s safari lodges, and the manner in which they connect and engage.
We are onboarding a growing team of subject matter experts and investing in new-age technology, powerful data mining and AI to make the running of independent hospitality properties more profitable and the experience continuously more delightful for guests.
